We are so proud of Malibu, she has always loved the cats but is allowing them to be in the same room as her and her newborn puppies, to allow this so early is fantastic, what a star to be so secure with her first litter.
We know that the cats wouldn't be a threat as they actualy think that they are dogs but what a lovely thing for Malibu to do especialy as she is being such a good attentive first time mum.
Pictured below aged one week in birth order with the nicknames we have given them.

Guiness chilling out aged one week, think he is starting as he means to go on.
All the pups are gaining weight rapidly and their eyes are starting to open, they will be wormed with mum on Monday (aged 2 weeks) for the first time and then the fun will begin when we start to offer them some soaked puppy food later in the week.

The fun has definitely begun, they were running off, shredding the props, little darlings...we are so thrilled with this litter, they have that something special about them, well they would as they are Flame Great Grand Children. They are eating soaked food 4 times daily now as well as feeding from mum when they want, they have had their second dose of wormers and are such a joy to watch when they play with the noisy toys, no hesitation just straight in...they even like the sound cd and wolf talk, they also have had soothing dog stories cd played already and are so chilled. We can't believe how quickly the last 4 weeks have gone, too fast for us.
Mind you, we haven't had a litter yet that likes to hear Robbie Williams on their video recording sessions, (they tend to howl) we will try these next week. We film a few minutes daily to various music which every owner gets a copy from birth to 8 weeks.
5 Weeks - 26th October 2009

The time has come so quickly for the pups to go off to their new homes, Brea will be the last one to go and that will leave Logan all by himself - well with all his relatives here it still will be strange for him to lose all his litter mates. He is already obsessed with Amber, it looks like he will be just like his dad and Grand dad...mmm.
We wish all the owners the best and hope they enjoy every second with their pups.
