Our darling Brook, this is the last picture we took of her before we had to make the heartbreaking decision to give her sleep. Scorch had a c section and Brook was the last to be born and had been starved of oxygen, which caused her to have cerebal palsy. We had hand reared her from birth as she had a weak suction but she gained weight daily. When her co-ordination was obviously causing her distress, we had to let her go. She was only in our lives for such a short time, 6 days still breaks your heart. Sleep well darling Brook. xxx
The other 3 pups are all fine and doing very well, feeding well from mum and gaining weight rapidly, Scorch still plays with her toys in the lounge while her pups sleep inbetween feeds, so she is also doing well even with a line of stitches.
1st born - girl, nicknamed Malibu.
2nd born - boy, nicknamed Denim.
We didn't like to say anything, but...she forgot to use the sports mode again.
3rd born - boy, nicknamed Nike.
On the camera the pic didn't look quite so blured, this is one puppy that will be on the move every time she sees a camera.
They all had their nails cut again today and were wormed for the first day of 3 with panacur paste ... great fun.
This little man actualy sat still in the scales today, probably the most acurate weight we have had for him. He obviously didn't want the wrong dose of wormer.
