Denver x Summer pups all arrived safely in the early hours of the morning, all are very nicely marked and already have chosen their prefered teat to feed from, even if we try to help. Summer is doing very well and has settled down with her babies for a nap.

All the puppies have gained weight and are all feeding well, we have given them all nicknames as we usualy do. Summer is loving every minute of being a mum again. We still have to smile though when the pups start to walk and the mums always seem surprised that the pups grow up so quickly.

Pictured below aged 1 week 4 Days, their eyes are now open and the fun is about to begin. We have worming and weaning to do after 2 weeks and mum will now be spotted outside the whelping box before she has chance to think about whether she want's to get in or not, and being Denver babies, they are sure to let everyone know that they want something.
3 weeks has flown by, the pups are running and tumbling over and they can bark and play growl at each other. The introduction to mashed puppy food went very well, and all were ready to try. The pups have moved into a different whelping box with an extension on for one week, by 4 weeks they will be in the big play pen.
Well here we are aged 3 weeks, as you can see we are getting scruffy. We roll, walk, sit and lay in our food, then we wrestle with each other and leave bits all over our bed. We were all wiped with a cloth and licked by our mummy, but we objected and made things quite difficult today. Then we decided to be moving targets once we saw the camera...Can't wait for next week.....

Well another week older and wiser, even though we are making lots of work for mum, we are also causing great amusement.
We are building up our strength for when we go to our new homes. Of course that is a few weeks away yet but we are clever puppies.

We are now spending our days in the kitchen, with access outside on the patio. We overheard our breeder say that she wanted a new kitchen sometime soon, so we are helping to remove pieces of the old kitchen units. We have also started on the chairs but we keep being stopped, oh well that's humans for you.
Some of us have new names too now, so we need to get used to them before we are allowed to run on the lawn, we are told that it is so we return when called...we will see.

We have all had our ear tattoo's now, and this week we like noisy toys, it was all to much at 5 weeks of age. Our new owners think we are so cute and by the time they get the video of us, taken every day from birth, it will be a case of "I can't believe that my puppy did that". We are just normal pups with an interest in everything and everybody. We prefer our puppy biscuits dry at the moment, that is until we start teething in a few weeks then we might like soaked food again. Our breeder has ordered some peanut beefer chews from the vet so we are looking forward to trying those..hope they taste better than the kitchen units, back door, shelves and table legs.
All pups had their veterinary check up today aged 6 weeks and 1 day, they all passed their check ups with flying colours. They all behaved and travelled very well and no one was sick in the car, which is always a bonus.
